Let the summer vacation begin!

Its been a crazy year so far with trips to NZ, Tassie, Orange, NZ, Melbourne and Adelaide.

I've even managed an awesome exhibition in there too.

But now its time for Ginge to take on Europe. First stop Hochst, Austria.

#pyrmontlocal love walking around Pyrmont - so much water and clouds and colour and iconic places to capture from great advantage points.

Pyrmont is an inner-city suburb of Sydney, 2 kilometres south-west of the Sydney CBD. It is also part of the Darling Harbour region and as of 2013, it is Australia's most densely populated suburb.

Pyrmont was once a vital component of Sydney's industrial waterfront, with wharvesshipbuilding yards, factories and wool stores but as industries moved out, the population and the area declined.

In recent years it has experienced redevelopment with an influx of residents and office workers.

What a great way to spend a Saturday in Sydney! Sunshine, camera and good walking shoes and this is the result.

Thanks Ciara for my obsession with clouds. #sydneyweather this week has been amazing, with so much rain and sunshine and colour!

After a weekend in country mid west NSW its great being back in the concrete jungle of Sydney. Can't get enough of the Anzac bridge. Typical JRP shot, - clouds, sky, bridges, blue, Pyrmont!

Tasmanian adventure

one of my favourite places in Australia, such amazing landscape and cool climate and delicious food and wine and produce and just a beautiful place to escape the fast pace of Sydney life. Cant wait to go back!

Tassie is an island state of the Commonwealth of Australia, located 240 km south of the mainland, and separated by the Bass Strait. The state has a population of over 515,000 and an area of 68,401 km2. Tasmania is promoted as a natural state; almost 45% of Tasmania lies in reserves, national parks, and World Heritage Sites.

Just look up
There are some pretty amazing things to see when instead of looking straight ahead you look up to see the heights of the spectactular buildings or the angles and stings of the Anzac bridge or the beautiful cloud formations.
Continue to watch as see what I find as I look up this week!

Hanging out with nana

Had the most amazing day while I was in NZ a couple of weeks ago hanging out with Nana. We took her for an adventure through the Trevor Griffth Rose Garden at Caroline bay, Timaru and then a stroll down to the board walk where I got a great family history lesson. Great to have spent a good chunk of time in NZ this time and catch up with everyone. #specialmoments Nana I think you need to apply for the gardner job at the rose garden, then it might meet your rose garden expectations. Love you lots nana!!!

Hard to get enough of the amazing drives around the south island of New Zealand. Beautiful clouds, mountains, roads, greenery, just life in NZ.

Glamping at "MY FAVOURITEST PLACE IN THE WORLD" Glendhu Bay

If you ever get a chance to visit the land of the long white cloud you MUST take the time to visit Lake Wanaka. It is just STUNNING. So much to do and see and eat and just relax. from mountain biking to walking to swimming to boating and camping to canyoning to power ponting to coffee to feeding the ducks and photographying all of the above. This place is just paradise on earth. I love this place so much and can't wait to visit and explore some more!

Enjoy this little adventure and hopefully you will see it all in person really soon.

Just couldn't resist. Had to add one more. After 28yeats if adventures to Lake Wanaka I have finally made it to the famous Wanaka tree. Such a stunning day for a bike ride along the Wanaka Millenium track from Glendhu Bay to Wanaka township. AMAZING clouds today too.
Ciara you should move back to the Southern Hemisphere.

MOOO

We took off on an adventure to Central Otago and found these beautiful cows on the Taras road on our way to Glendhu Bay, Lake Wanaka. They loved getting fed and were quite good posers too adding contrast to the blue and white above them. Actually, like dogs, cows are probably colour blind and probably haven't even't noticed the amazing sky above them. oh well they are definately missing out.

I'll update the last six days when I get home to my computer. Some amazing photos if I can say so...watch this space!

After amazing family time and lots of good food and dancing it's time to #getbacktonature.
GREEN
Def: the color between blue and yellow on the spectrum of visible light. It is evoked by light with a predominant wavelength of roughly 495–570 nm.
The modern English word green comes from the Middle English and Anglo-Saxon word grene, from the same Germanic root as the words "grass" and "grow".
By far the largest contributor to green in nature is chlorophyll, the chemical by which plants photosynthesize and convert sunlight into chemical energy.

Thanks Santa for my new Canon 10-18mm lens. Some stunning shots from Balmoral Beach. Amazing how much more you can see with the extra 8mm.

03-01-16 Celebration Ruby Style

Forty years ago today, these two beautiful people said "I do".

What an amazing journey they have had, raising five amazing children and now with 5 beautiful grandchildren. Loving, encouraging and supporting them all in their life's ventures. Travelling around New Zealand and Australia, sometimes with all five kids in tow but in later years mostly just with the caravan in tow.

Such generous loving people, volunteering so much of their time to help at kindergartens,  primary schools, high schools, churches, rugby clubs and so much more.

Fantastic support, knowledge and advice to give to others and always there to provide a helping hand.

Caring and adventurous yet always finding time for a tea or a coffee, sometimes on the side of the road out of the camp flask.

What an amazing forty years you have had together.

Cheers to the next forty.

Love you both lots Mum and Dad.

Your youngest; Jason
