301/2018: What a stunning day to be out on the harbour. Hanging out with this beauty. From seeing if form the shore during yesterday's run, so cool to but up close and personal today.

The serenity here is pretty special

302/2018: Ahh...the Serenity of the Symphony playing on a Crystal Harbour [please don't crash]

303-307/2018: Goodnight Sydney. Love it when you put on a show like this.

Remember don't sweat the small stuff. Enjoy the small stuff, love the small stuff, remember the small stuff, learn from the small stuff, let the small stuff make you smile!

308-310/2018:

Hard not to be amazed by the beauty of physics. [I loved the concept of physics at  high school and university but I wasn't very good at it]. So cool to see how the yellow from the sun, the blue form the sky and hte grey form the clouds all reflect off the water to create these amazing patterns.

Click on the pictures for a bigger image and let me know what images you can see within the photo!

311/2018: Don't let the big stuff get in your way. Just keep smashing out the small stuff and enjoy hanging out in the big moments!

At least its not cluttering up our streets

[I guess]

314/2018:

Early morning walks in Pyrmont with salt/gypsum boat in port. Love the ever changing life of this beautiful part of the harbour.

315/2018:

Can you spot the grammatical error?

"A people called Guanradi"

I'm sure my english teacher sister will be able to.

316/2018: The ever changing letters at The Star Casino. This time in celebrating Chinese New Year. Make sure you get to some of the stunning, colourful, puppy events around Sydney this week and next!

317/2018: P is for...

218/2018: Peek a boo

319-320/2018: Same spot 3.5 hours and a weather cycle apart. Lake George [Weereena which translates to "Bad Water"], just north of Canberra. This "lake" is an endorheic lake [no in/outflow to/from other bodies of water] and has been empty for a very very very long time.

321/2018:

Woof! Definitely the best year of the Chinese Lunar cycle. Hope this year is full of smiles, laughter, happiness and lots of snuggles with your favourite pooch!

322/2018:

RED: Corresponds to fire and symbolises good fortune and joy

323/2018:

YELLOW/GOLD: Royality, power, wealth, properity and freedon. THe first emperor of China's know as the Yellow and China was often referred to as "Yellow Earth"

If you have a golden dog, then you are in for a  really gret year!

324/2018:

Art work by Melissa Carey currently on display Market City.

This 8m installation in a modern representation of Chinese fortune sticks, which are used for good fortune. "Kau Cim", "Kau Chim' or Lottery Poetry is a fortune telling practice that originated in China in which the person asking the question requests answers from a sacred oracle lot. By shaking the container with the fortune sticks. the first stick to fall out has the answer on it.

The circle formation symbolises harmony, balance and good fortune.

325/2018:

Getting my weekly omega, protein and Vitamin D] fix. Salmon, my most favourite fish by far to eat and to cook [and not to sound like a dick, but I can cook it dam fine].  I love salmon whether is is bakes, fried, poached or raw, slightly under done so it's a little pink on the inside. YUMMO! Today I covered it with grain crumb, butter and coriander!

Random fact of the day, this [anadromous] fish swim upstream from the sea to find fresh water to breed.

326-327/2018:

[YOUNG]

This bottle of 1994 Leewin Estate, Art Series, Chardonnay from Margaret River has been in the fridge for a while now and not sure whether is was worth opening or now, the colour suggested it was probably past it but we decided to anyway. And no offence Leewin but unfortunately it was Hideous. Thankfully we didn't pay the $160 it is currently selling for on the internet. Happy for someone to pay use $160 for an empty [collectors item] bottle!!!

OR

[OLD]

These 2016 Petersons wines arrived this week in our regular BIG RED delivery. Always excited for these and they are always a delight for the taste and olfactory senses! Petersons reds are so full of flavour whether its with nachos or a beautiful meal or just a simple cheese plate - always a joy to drink. Can't wait to try!

328/2018: Ideas of where this "peep" hole is? Izzy just wanted to get to the park to chase the birds!

329-330/2018: The Place of the Snapper" [and prawns by the looks].

It's the small things that make the big things awesome!

331/2018: Two amazing artists. One having a bit of fun paying tribute to the other. Life should be =full of laughter, happiness and love. Enjoy each moment and let music fill your soul.

332/2018: Any guesses for what's under the fire hydrant? A pimple? A mole? A scar? A door? A hose? An actual fire hydrant?

#marilynmonroe

333/2018: Cock-a-doodle-doo: Must remember not to have lunch when dining here. One of the best new [actually I'm pretty sure it's been thre for ages] in Kings Cross - Farmhouse Kings Cross. Small in space but huge in flavour and amazing atmosphere. Set menu changing regularly. Bookings essential Click here for more!!!

334/2018: Happy Mardi Gras Sydney. Stay safe. Have fun. Be you.

335-338/2018: Great having Monique and Sohpie in town this weekend and checking out the Eveleigh Markets at Carriageworks. Amazing fresh produce. Beautiful smells. Delicious food. Cute Puppies. So many retailers from all over NSW. Definitely somewhere to check out if you are a local or not so local.

339/2018: Full of rust. How old is this? What was it used for? Where did it come from? Who made it? When was it made? What was it used for? Why is it here now? Who owns it? How long until it disintegrates? Too many question. Most are too hard to answer. Just enjoy its beauty!

340-343/2018:

4 out of 10 of my most favourite things!!!! [any guess on what the other 6 might be?]

Clouds. Water. Friends: Izzy. ____, ____, ____, ____, ____, ___

344/2018: [TINSEL] Happy Mardi Gras Sydney.

345/2018:

Last "training run" before next weeks Mt Kosciuszko 25K trail run. If it was a road run, I'd be sorted. But unfortunately it's not and has about 500m of elevation from approx 1700-2200m above sea level. I'll enjoy it [in hindsight at least] but i'm sure at the time I'll be think "why do I do this to myself!!"

346-349/2018:

[Click to enlarge] Love finding local art work scattered around the streets of Sydney

350/2018: So much fresh fruit. So much delicious nutrition. So much flavour. So much colour.

351/2018: I always called these a Dandelion but a friend called them a Santa claus the other day. What do you call them. You just have to love nature in all it's glory and the journey it takes. Their life can be shorter or longer than ours, but think of the amazing stories it could tell if we could speak their language

352/2018: Autumn is one of my most favouritist time of the year. This season is full of change. Change in temperature, light, colour, weather systems, life. Take hold of the change this autumn and enjoy this ever changing world we live in.

353/2018: Contrast: [when two items next to each other have an opposite effect. for example In this picture, there is the orange on the rocks representing death and change in life, and then the green grass representing life and health.

Enjoy life's contrasts!!

354/2018: A day in the life.

Who knew when I was studying physiotherapy at University of Otago in NZ, that 8 years later I would be cycling around Centennial park with my physio hat on teaching a spinal client how to get in and out of a recumbent bike and mobilise around his local community in said bike. What an amazing world we live in and what a huge difference physiotherapists can make on people's lives. Stay active and enjoy the life you have no matter what your physical, mental or social capability might be. #physiolife

355-357/2018: homemade pesto and pasta with bacon and poached eggs. Yummo!!!

358-359/2018:

Commuting past Sydney's famous ANZACs!

Running past the Anzac memorial in Hyde park on my way to Prince of Wales Hospital. then driving in gridlock over the gorgeous Anzac bridge a few hours later!.

#ANZAC

360/2018:

A full circle. Doing laps around Pyrmont this morning wiht Izzy.

Loving the beautiful clouds, light, reflection, water, buildings, harbour and puppies in the park.

Hard to get sick of this place!. #pyrmontlocal

Pink sky int he morning, shephards mourning [ or warning]

361/2018: Getting ready for race day. After not nearly enough training [it's been way too hot this summer] only one day to go before I hit Mount Kosciuszko for the AAA [Australian Alpine Ascent] 25lm trail run. I love hitting the trains and running off road. It's more social, better for my knees and I get to enjoy nature in all its amazing glory. Lets do this Kosciuszko!

362-265/2018:

Random fact. Did you know Mount Kosciuszko was named by this guy [Sir Strzelecki]. A polish explorer in Australia between 1839-1843. He explored and surveyed vast areas of NSW, VIC and TAS and while in NSW he climbed Mount Kosciuszko [Australia's highest peak] and named it after the Polisher leader and patriot, Tadeusk Kosciuszko.

Who would have thought Australia's highest mountain was named after a random Polish guy!

And yes this is an Irish Harp, representing all the men from Ireland who cam e to help build the Snowy Mountain's Hydro electricity scheme!

366-370/2018: What a stunning day to be up in the mountains. I just love being out and exploring nature. whether that is the forest, the water or in this case the mountains. Christian and I set out on a 25km trail run form Charlotte's Pass up to Mount Kosciuszko and back to Charlotte's Pass. The views were stunning, beautiful lakes and valleys and streams and hills and mountains. Can't wait to return to walk this trial and take some more time to capture it in all its amazing beauty!

371/2018: There are a lot of things we take for granted in life. Grass touching your skin is one of them. Take the time to sit or lie or walk on the grass and enjoy the sensation of the grass in between you finders and toes.

Enjoy the little things.

372/2018: Jellyfish. I probably don't take this for granted. Lets be honest. Can you even eat these? Maybe in some exotic countries but not in Australia. I'm pretty sure this little suckers aren't poisonous but still not pleasant to swim with!

372/2018: Beam me up. Hope this girl is going somewhere awesome!!!

373/2018

374/2018:

I have a crazy fascination for maps. And Historical maps are even more impressive. I could stand in the Stockroom in Pyrmont for hours looking and exploring this map!

375/2018

Check out some of the history on display at the Stockroom Cafe, 100 Harris Street Pyrmont. And enjoy a delicious cup of Campos coffee while you're at it!

376-377/2018:

Summer freshness.

378/2018:

To anyone who has used our guest bathroom, they'll know I have this [amazing] collection of shells and stones and rocks.

This is the latest addition to this collection.

I have added to my collection from all around the world, but this is the first item that I have found in the small [sewage] beach in Pyrmont. Only accessible via a ladder at low tide, I managed to spot this one from the walkway and when I picked it up it was so shiny and smooth and colourful.

Check it out next time you come and use the bathroom at my place!

379-382/2018:

I love it when it rains and I get to put on my jacket, jump in the puddles and play with the crazy reflections that can be created when light reflects in the water.

Who thought physics could be so cool!

383/2018: I worked from home this morning [#physiolife] and slowly watched as they put this "DEAR AUSTRALIA" sign up on one of the barges at Glebe Island. Any ideas what this might be for??? Letters to Australia? What would you write if you were writing a letter to Australia? Write a letter to someone today. [maybe not Australia though as I'm not sure where you'd actually send it] Maybe to your grandparents or parents or best friend in another city.

Letters in the mail are so special and always put a big smile on that special someone's face.

383/2018: This physio life is pretty tough. Lunch with a view today. A quick bite to eat over looking Curl Curl beach before a client visit in Dee Why. Definitely beats lunch at the office! [where did you have lunch today?]

385-388/2018: Love the contrast of these beauties against the green bushland.

Hanging out in my happy place.

389-391/2018:

It's been awhile since we had a cloudy days in Sydney. This is one of the reasons why I love autumn. There is so much variance in the weather and temperature. You get to put your jersey on to protect you from the slight chill in the air. And you can go for a walk in your lunch break without building up a large pile of sweat on your brow or back.

Nature is my happy place.

I love the different senses that make up this beautiful world. Whether it is the sound of crashing waves, the feel of bush brushing past my face as I walk by, the feel of rocks under my feet, the taste of salt in the air, the sight of lizards scampering away as you walk along a path, the sight of the different colours flowers, the smell of damp bushland after the rain.

392-394/2018: The beautiful orange colours of autumn. I love this time of the year, so many smells and textures and light. Evening strolls through the park with Izzy are the best, so many smells, sounds and things to see!

395-396/2018: Early morning walks through the city to meet my client at the pool #physiolife So oftne these days as you walk through a crowd people are generally looking in just two directions, straight ahead and where they are going and looking down at the phone. But look what you see when you #justlookup so much more interesting than your phone of the person's head in front of you. [just don't walk into the person in front of you when you are looking up]

397-398/2018: Which bridge is your favourite?

399/2018:

Originally opened in 1841, The Terminus is one of Sydney's oldest pub and had an long history. The Terminus called "last drinks' in 1984 when to hotel was de-licenced and locked up. It sat dormant for over 30 years until it was sold in 2015 and refurbished to its former glory. The Terminus opened it's doors again a couple of weeks ago and it amazing to see how well they have preserved the rich history of this place in a clever and sophistcated way. Check it out now on the corner of Harris and Jones streets Pyrmont. For more of the Terminus' rich colourful history check out there website here

400/2018:I have stood in this spot hundreds of times over the last 12 years but never seen the Paramatta River from this aspect.

So amazing how sometimes we are blind to beauty until we aren't actually looking for it.

401-402/2018: You might be thinking I've taken a quick adventure to the Italian coastline. But these pictures are actually in Sydney.

Any guesses where?

403/2018: Check out this tongue! [Glass] haha. I'm so confused!

404/2018: Snuggles [blowing in the wind] with my girl!

405-407/2018: What a beautiful end to a gorgeous day on the harbour.

L-R: a dip in Seven Shillings beach; A submarine in the harbour [a rare sight]; A Carnival cruise ship departing Sydney [what a way to go!]. Hard to get sick of this place!

408/2018:

Some on Sydney's beauties. From the QVB to the diverse city skyline and of course the famous "coat hanger"

All beautiful in their own right but odd to see them all together on the back of a bus stop [of all places] in Putney. I thought it might be advertising something. But nope, its just some random artwork.

Maybe I can get some of my random art work on the back of a bus stop one day.

Which picture[s] would I choose???

Which picture[s] of mine would you choose?

409-410/2018: Love mornings at this time of year. So much light and colour and clouds!

411/2018: If these bricks could talk.

They'd have some pretty impressinve stories, standing tall at the McMahon's Point Reserve car park.

412-415/2018: Even when it is pouring and miserable outside McMahons Point is still a photographers paradise. Especially when you are 20 floors up!

412: Taking shelter from the rain.

413: Running [don't fall in the harbour]

414: 10mm shot. Capturing both of Sydney's Iconic Bridges!

415: [Don't fall]. I could stand here for hours watching all the activities of Sydney Harbour!

416-417/2018: The Stunning ANZAC is it's gorgeous morning glory. [what a difference CANON makes].

418-420/2018: a bit of old, not so old and new along the winding stip that is Mount Street Walk. #pyrmonthistory

421/2018:

#worldharmonyday

422/2018: A stunning evening for a stroll around Jones Bay. Love exploring after a [few] drop of rain and the clouds have cleared. Happy Friday!

423-426/2018:

427-430/2018: The weather in Sydney can be sometimes extremely unpredictable but a walk thorugh the city after a storm is just the best thing. so much light and reflections and physics showing off with a double rainbow. Love Sydney's weather!

431/2018: Clouds. Its pretty hard to get sick of clouds and the beautful colours and formations they create. #cloudsforciara.

432/2018: Head chef in the making...NOT. Mise en pace [the French term for "putting in place"] at its finest as I throw together a quick and easy Kung Pow Chicken [my nephew's favourite]

433-434/2018: EASTER. My most favourite holidays of the year. A time of love and hope and lots of hot cross buns. [and chocolate, if that's what you're into]. The cross on the buns mark the end of Lent and the cross represents the cruxifixion of Jesus Christ on Good Friday. Also, did you know, the spices in these delicious buns signify the spices used to embalm Jesus at his burial. So cool seeing this written in the sky on Good Friday [I wonder who paid the aeroplane driver to so this...three times?]

435/2018:

Ahhhh...this is the life!

A glass of Pinot Gris, potato chips and New Zealand home made Maggi soup mix onion dip [with a dash of chilli]!!!

Mouth watering. the best way to spend a lazy public holiday on Sydney Harbour.

#kiwiclassic

436-437/2018: Today is a good day [Izzy, smile already]

438-442/2018: A good day, hanging out in this beautiful part of the world [slash Sydney]. You'd never know we are actually only 20 minutes [by boat] from the CBD

#lovesydney

443/2018:

Look at this beauty [no not Izzy]. We found this shell which is apparently a sea urchin / kina shell [once its spikes have fallen off]. Thanks Vic and Liana for helping me find out what this beauty is. A great one to add to my bathroom shell collection! And thanks Izzy for minding it for me!

444-448/2018: Getting back to my "EXPOSED" roots and playing with water and sails and sunsets and various exposures. Love this type of photography. i love to make the view guess and imagine and create [Is it a painting, a drawing, and photography]

449-450/2018: What a stunning way to end such a "Good" day! May the year to follow be full of hope and joy and amazing adventures and goodness. Love yourself and Love your neighbour and be a Light to everyone around you. Be yourself!
