What a stunning way to end a beatiful, relaxing day! If you are ever in the area, make sure you check out this delicious vineyard, Two Figs [Bolong Road, Berry, NSW].
464/2018: Thanks Simon for the heads up on the traffic. What better way to avoid long delays than sitting on the cliff top watching the sun go down. I just love this time of year when the sun is setting at a respectable hour and the temperature and the weathers produces some Amazing sunsets!. This one is from a cool little spot just out of Berry, Gerroa. If I was Rich I'd buy a holiday home here. Food, running, beaches, water. relaxation! what more could you want on a weekend retreat?

The cool thisngs you see when out of a casual run.
470/2018: Boat life. After a loing [4 day] week, what better place to relax than on Sydney Harbour. Weekend adventures around Sydney are brilliant, especially when a boat is involved.
470/2018: You are already relaxing. Add a beautiful book by Mitch Albom [phenomenal author] and a glass of Gin. What else do you need?
472-474/2018: I love days on the harbour [especially hot cloudy day, less likely to get heat stroke/sunburnt]. But love it even more when I manage to get some shots like this. We live in such a beautiful city and it's great to capture in a unique way when waves and splash and boats are involved!
475-476/2018" It's pretty clear which toilet door to walk into, but I wonder who these toilets characters are. And I wonder if they know they are now the faces of the toilets at Quarantine Beach. Such beautiful portraits [I'm sure there are so many stories with int the lines of this art]
477/2018: Someone needs to fix these windows so they are all the same! #ocd
480/2018: Priorities!!! Not a bad spot for tea. #spoiltpuppy
481/2018: In his happy place. He use to always say "I want a boat". Now he has one, its tought getting him off it. So many beautiful spot to explore in and around Sydney Harbour.

483-488/2018:I love this time of the year. Such a beautiful time for sunsets.
489-490/2018: Cr\uised past this old beauty. The Southern Swan heading home for the night. So good seeing her still in action. Check out sydneytallships.com.au if you want to have an adventure on one of their girls.
491-494/2018: A little bit of stalking around the Eastern suburbs. So many beautiful boats and houses and beaches and puppies!.
495/2018: Just bobbing around. Its pretty clean, we probably shouldn't pick it up. The dirtier the better. Or Pink would be even more preferable.
496-506/2018: A progressive [time lapse] sunset over sydney harbour. The beauties of the end of daylight saving is these beautiful sunsets at a reasonable hour.
507-508/2018: Sydney's golden hour.
509-512/2018: What a beautiful sight, the sun setting on Sydney's icons. #visitnsw
513/2018: So much history and knowledge and wisdom in the eyes of this beautiful lady. Would love to listen to her speak one day and learn from her. Get down to Haymarket, NSW to check this stunner out.
514/2018: Anyone know what this is. I saw it this morning in the park [in a shady spot at approx. eye level] this morning while out walking with Izzy?
Apparently [thanks Lesley] it is Pittosporum Undulatum which [according to google] was originally recored in Port Jackson, Sydney in 1803 but has since increased its range to Europe, Brazil, Hawaii and South Africa.
515-516/2018: Looking towards versus looking away.
Which is your favourite?
517-520/2018: Thanks Steph and Phil for an amazing weekend on the farm. Laguna in the south of the Hunter Valley is such a relaxing, peaceful gorgeous place to hang out for a weekend. from walking through the back country road, the sun coming up over the hill, Izzy chasing the local horses and bulls, the cute little [and not so little] cottages dotted over the country side, some sweet tunes at the Great North Trading Post and a little [and not so little] red wine tasting. A brilliant weekend. Can't wait to come back and explore some more!
521/2018: Izzy meet your cousin, Moss [or at least Moss' identical Aussie long lost brother] #twinlife
522-523/2018: The entrance was beautiful, the scenery just spectacular. Can't wait for lunch......except lunch looked horrible and under prepared and over priced. So disappointed. If only the food lived up to expectations of the view and winery.
524-526/2018: Wineries in Autumn are just the best. So much colour and crunch and change!
527/2018:
528-530/2018: There is wine and food and crafts and vines and [often overlooked by said vines] roses. I love photographing roses. It always reminds me of my 99 year old nana and her Rose Garden. Looking forward to taking her for a walk through her garden next week.
531-533/2018: I finished up in Bondi Junction this afternoon and went for a little wonder to find a shot of the city [serious fail]. But it was so hot that when I stumbled across Cooper Park [it should really be call Cooper Forest] I took shelter and gave up on my cityscape shot and instead found this massive snake and it's eggs. Haha, you wish. But man, those tree roots are ginormous. [And poor kids for never found their Easter eggs]
534-536/2018: From one end of the city one day to another the next. I sure have got around this week. Today I ended my day in Forestville. And finally went for a run through Garigal National Park [in daylight hours]. So good being back in the forest [definitely my happy place] running along the waters edge.
537/2018:
Lunchtime adventures!
It is so important to get away from your desk at lunchtime. Whether to the local coffee shop or the gym or the park or wandering the local streets and sights to find cool things like this.
I know these sculptures as "the fishes". They stand high in the clouds at Kissing Point Park in Putney.
Escaping the office at lunchtime is so good for the soul, the mind, the lungs and your eyes!
538/2018:
And when you wander the local streets to you get to admire the beautiful gardens the locals have and wonder if any of them work because their gardens are so well looked after and flourishing with beauties like this!!
539-543/2018: My most favourite time of year. Such amazing sunsets on my daily commute!
544/2018:
545-549/2018: Some amazing beauties at the Classic and Wooden Boat Show at the National Maritime Museum in Darling Harbour.
550/2018: 3 dirty brown bird perching on a wire way up high miles from anywhere [I wonder what they are thinking? Can birds think] No worries, No dramas, just peacefulness!
551-552/2018:
I am always fascinated by physics. I was never very good at it at school or university but I loved the concept. Light [Reflection. Refraction] A great concept of physics that allows cool images like this to occur.
553-556/2018: Love this time of year, some amazing sunsets in this beautiful city.
557/2018:
This is one [of the many] reasons why I am loving my 3 days a week working int he community as a spinal physiotherpist. Adventrues that allow me to explore different parts of Sydney. This is a quick walk and a bite to eat around North Curl Curl Beach in between clients in Dee Why and North Manly.
#physiolife
558/2018:
Just add some rice [the recipie actually says add quinioa but I don't really see the point in quinoa so I always add rice instead] and a vinegar dressing and some medium rare pok and you've got yourself a easy peezy healthy dinner.
Kumara [sweet potato] isa actually the best vegetable in the world whether it is roasted, boiled, mashed, fried or made into wedges!!!
559/2018:
On the road again?
Off on a little adventure to...
The mother land.
The land of the Long White Cloud.
Aotearoa.
Across the ditch. Kiwi land. New Zealand. Home.
So Excited
560-565/2018: Akaroa, you are just stunning. Can't believe it has taken me 30 years to check you out. What a stunning day adventuring around the Banks Penninsula.
Akaroa actually translates to "Long Harbour" and is at the end of the road of State Highway 75 on the Banks Peninsula east of Christchurch. With a permanent population of only 650 it is a gorgeous villages with great French influence as it was provisionally purchased by the French in 1838. The French returned in 1840 to complete the transaction only to find that New Zealand had since been claimed by the British. Such a beautiful peninsula, reminds me so much of my university days on the Otago Peninsula. Can't wait to come back and explore some more!
566-567/2018: Such beauty around here. So good, not having any time pressure, and being able to explore this stunning area. This in in the very small township of Duvauchelle at the head of the harbour. This old wharf has a sign stating "do not walk on wharf, it is unstable from damage from the recent earthquakes" Looks pretty old and crappy and probably wasn't walkable pre the earthquakes anyway.
572/2018: Now...if you squint and then look at this picture can you make out what it actually is??? A big bowl of nachos or a bunch of seagulls washing themselves???Smart seagulls in fresh water or delicious mexican food???
573-574/2018: Nana wanted to take use on a walk to visit the canaries. But lunch came calling. So we took off on a little adventure on our own. Lots of canaries in the cage having a great time but these beauties were more interesting to photograph. in beautiful bloom enjoying the Timaru sun!
575-578/2018: What a gorgeous bunch of kids. Fun to hang out with and pay out and annoy and wind up and feed lots of ice cream to and itckle and chase around the house and then give back to their parents. [L=R: Katelin, almost 8; Charlotte 2.5; Pippa, just turned 5]
579/2018:
Eeny Meeny Miny Moe!
Such a difficult choice. Can I buy one of each? Or is that just rude and fatty.
I'm happy to be a fatty boom bah as long as it tastes yum. And Tip Top definitely does. Although apparently the Pams brand is giving Tip Tip a run for its money. Might have to buy a few different combinations of each brand. [and get real fat]
580/2018: Another new road in New Zealand on this adventure. This time we took Rolling Ridges Road from the back of Timaru to Taiko Valley towards Cave. Such a stunning driving with lots of rolling hills and beautiful green fields [ a little unusal for this time of year in South Canterbury]. Stocked to be finding all these new places in and around where I grew up, even if it has taken 30 years to find them. Keep looking for new tracks wherever you are.
581-584: I love NZ at this time if year.
So much colour and change of seasons visible in the streets and fields. And the sun is shining!
585/2018:
This is who the McKenzie Basin is named after, James McKenzie and his dog who famously stole a huge bunch of sheep back in the early 1800s and herded them over where is now known as the McKenzie Pass. Pretty sure they found the sheep but James and his dog got away, likely to steal some more sheep.
586-588/2018: Found this gorgeous "lonley tree" [that would give the famous Wanaka Tree a run for its money] just off the main road near Dog Kennel Corner. Standing tall and beautiful and yellow all by itself with the most amazing view of the Southern Alps with a fresh dusting of snow cap it off. The cool things you find when you take the back gravel road...
589-590/2018: So unusual at this time of the year to have such green grass. Even more so that the surrounding paddocks are brown, dry and dusty, but this one has been well looked after and provided a stunning foreground to the Southern Alps.
591-596/2018: A beautiful drive down through the back of McKenzie country into Haldon and Black Forest Station [not sure where the black forest is though]. I first came to Haldon Station in 1998 on Year 6 camp, when we met up and played games at the local school, so pretty cool to come back 20 years later and really experience and enjoy it. A beautiful drive and then the colours, water, mountains and trees were just so beautiful and realizing and peaceful, so much so that we could hear the kids talking to their parents in the middle of the lake bobbing around in the water having fallen off the water skis. So relaxing. Hard to leave.
That Tall mountain [slighlty silhouettey] is Mount Cook, the tallest mountain in NZ. [At 3724m tall it was first climbed on Christmas day 1894]
597/2018: [As usual] I am intrigued by the colour and effect light and water create!
598-600/2018: I saw this shot on the way up the valley, so I was stoked to come back the same way and stop and snap this straight line of pylons. So much fun exploring different parts of NZ and seeing the beautiful lines and shapes that surround every corner!
